It’s intimate, personal and communal
If you’re celebrating a special occasion or supporting someone with a normal sized community of friends and family, we recommend at least 40 Message Eggs.
Even people who seem to have small social circles end up having around 40 people they would love to hear from. Why? Scan this fascinating article, or just take our word for it.
Message Writers (we often call them participants) can be anywhere in the world. Even those very young and elderly can tell you what they want to say, infact some of the best messages have come from them.
“…its like a surprise party, with all your favourite people there.”

Message Eggs is a social enterprise
Message Eggs exist to bring more love, kindness and respect to all.
We’ve been part of the world wide social enterprise community since 1996.
We want to ensure anyone can receive this life-affirming experience. Don’t wait until it’s too late! Family or friends can order Message Eggs and pay nothing upfront for someone living with major illness. We simply ask for a donation of whatever amount you think it is worth after experiencing it.
One for One
Thanks to the kind donations of others, we also have funds set aside for those who cannot pay anything in our One for One scheme, just like the lovely folk at Tom’s. Get in touch if you would like to pay extra for someone else to receive.
Bequests & Donations
We also accept larger donations for our special outreach projects. Please contact us to discuss your wishes.
We are currently looking for the right organisation to support. Please get in touch if you would like to explore a partnership, eg. profit share, co-promotion.
Share the cost, fun, message collection and the anticipation by giving Message Eggs as a group gift.
Group gift giving allowes people to give and receive something more substantial than each person might be able to afford on their own.
Get the ball rolling by ordering and paying first to avoid delay, or plan further in advance to make sure you can count on them.
Then put the word out to a small group you think might value the suggestion. They can give you cash at the event or bank transfer before.
Friends usually really appreciate it if someone else has such a positive idea. Share our website to get them involved.
See Thea’s story.
Online tools can help too. Just google Group Gift.
Our Full Experience gives you access to one-to-one help at key moments during the message gathering process and throughout. Plus our handy guide on how to collect messages and a fully facilitated service from end to end.
Medium package is similar, but we aren’t able to offer one-to-one support.
Most commissions end up exceeding 40 eggs, so the Full Experience is the best value plus you get the extra help.
The Taste of package includes FAQs only and no more than five eggs.
All are guaranteed to delight but we recommend the Full Experience.
See other FAQs.
We ship to anywhere in the world. Australian quarantine laws mean we have a separate studio there, so shipping times are shorter.
